The device realizes measuring wind-direction and wind-speed. The classical build-up spoon anemometer and wind flag takes place in an individual container. In the anemometer's container an infrared opto-chopper transmits square-sign proportional to the wind speed, and in the wind flag's container an infrared optical sensor determines the actual direction with a Gray-coded disc.
The device has an individual microcontroller in the container of the wind flag to process speed- and direction signals, which performs measuring actual values, calculating averages during measuring period time and the connection to the data collector.
